What the paid plans add

The editor page lists a free limit of 200 pages or 50 MB per document and 3 tasks per hour.2 Free users are limited to a single file per task.2 Paid plans remove page and hourly limits and accept files up to 500 MB.3

How to build it yourself

  1. pdf-lib draws text, images and vector graphics on new or existing PDF pages.4
  2. PDFPage.drawText, drawImage and drawRectangle place text, pictures and white boxes at set coordinates.5
  3. PDFDocument.embedPng and embedJpg load an image into the document before it is drawn.6
  4. PDFDocument.copyPages moves pages between documents, which merges and splits files.6
  5. PDF.js parses and renders each page in the browser, which gives the editing view.7
  6. A Next.js static export renders the editor to static HTML for hosting on Vercel.8
